Also, Lars. P. Winther is a producer on this movie and he has worked on some of the biggest movies in recent years. Including the new The Suicide Squad (2021), The Hunt (2020), and many movies in the Avengers universe. Either as First Assistant Director or Producer. Or both! And yes, Lars and Peter Winther are brothers, in case you were wondering.

Parents need to know that Aftermath (2021) is a violent, bloody, and at times gory horror film that has many jump scares and lots of tension. There are scenes of sexual violence, body mutilation, and murder. In addition to sexual violence triggers, there are a few suicide triggers when characters mention a brother who hung himself in a closet. A woman is kidnapped and drugged. The movie has a few sex scenes with touching and thrusting but no explicit nudity is shown. Pornography magazines get sent to a man's house. Adults drink often, over dinner, to celebrate, to relax, and to socialize. Strong language throughout ("f--k," "f--king," "s--t," "bitch," "a--hole," "d--k," "goddamn," and "Jesus.")
In AFTERMATH (2021), young married couple Natalie Dadich (Ashley Greene) and Kevin Dadich (Shawn Ashmore) are having both marital and financial difficulties. For a new beginning they buy a new house. But the house has a past and might be harboring more than bad memories.
This horror movie comes close to being decent, but sadly is too long, too unsurprising, and too unrealistic. Despite Aftermath (2021) being loosely based on a true story, the film nevertheless comes across as wildly unbelievable because of a few glaring issues. For one, while there have been terrifying news stories similar to what happens, the way this film delivers its reveal ultimately feels hollow because so much time is spent on delivering supernatural thrills. It's hard not to think this would be a better film if it had taken the other path, so to speak.
